Leather in the Summer

So I have to ask, am I the only person who is crazy enough to wear leather in the middle of summer? As all of you know, I am from Texas, and being in Texas during the summer is like standing on sun. It is a million degrees here! You walk outside and you immediately start sweating, but even with the heat I just can't seem to shake my favorite fall pieces. I love my leather skirt and baseball cap, and I've always hated that I am only allowed to wear them for a couple months out of the year. I decided to stop restricting myself and I decided to continue wearing the pieces that I love all year round. It isn't the most comfortable decision I've ever made, but dammit I love this skirt and wearing it makes me happy.

Friday Favorites: Leopard Flats

These Ted Baker flats are my life right now. Leopard print is my all time favorite neutral, and these beauties go with everything in my closet. Flats are BIG this spring. They're everyone's favorite new accessory and there are so many beautiful flats out there. So jump into spring comfortably, with a pair of amazing flats.

Simple Sunny Dressing

It's Spring Break and Austin, Texas is a whirlwind of live music, movie premieres, and celebrity take overs. SXSW is upon us once again. As an Austinite, I love and hate this time of year. There are so many fun things going on in the city which is absolutely amazing, Austin is never boring. On the downside, there are people everywhere, which really sucks. I can't go to any of my favorite eateries or hang out spots without having to wait in line or without being forced to jam up against complete strangers since everywhere is so packed! It's not for very long though, SXSW will come and go and soon enough my beautiful and quirky little city will be back to normal. with all the spring break/SXSW activities going on I really don't have time to plan super intricate outfits. I wake up, throw on something cute, and run out the door to soak up these vacation days. I actually love the relaxed vacation look, so I am not complaining. To get that perfect laid back look I matched my favorite dark washed high wasted shorts with a white shirt, a beautiful brown hat, and funky loafers. It's simple, easy, and looks good. I hope everyone is having an amazing spring break!

Laid Back

Talking simple again today. I wanted to share with y'all one of my go to outfits. You don't need to run around in high heels and cute skirts all the time. You can still look fashionable in a nice pair of jeans and a basic top. I swear, basic tops rule the fashion world. They are the Alpha and Omega of fashion. YOU NEED BASICS IN YOUR CLOSET. Basics, basics, basics....that's all I'm saying.

Winter Whites

Everyone has heard the no whites after Labor Day “rule”. Well, it’s time to throw that rule out the window. Every real fashionista knows fashion has no rules. Winter whites are one of my favorite trends this season. All-white is such a clean and sophisticated look. When the weather is dreary, I like to pair my all white ensemble with a pop of color. My red Ted Baker gloves make for a perfect balance.  Ted Baker has all of the best accessories to add some spice to your wardrobe. Adding a piece of Ted Baker to any outfit will make people stop and stare, and honey, you deserve the attention.
